The Heroes of Nine-Eleven
The heroes keep on climbing through the smoke and dust of hell.
I do believe they find their way to heaven.
Their hearts ring out like angels, thought the mighty towers fell.
A Day Called Nine-Eleven.

New Word with Dr. Sue “Hero” The Word “Hero” means a person of great character and courage, often someone who puts themself at risk to save others.
A hero is willing to sacrifice personal advantage, safety, and even their life to save others or stand for an ideal.
The word “Hero” comes from the Greek, which literally means “protector” or “defender.”
“Hero,” in Greek, originally meant “warrior” (in the Iliad). It grew to mean a semi-divine being with one immortal parent. For example, Heracles, (who became the Roman Hercules), was part-human, part-divine.
You are invited to be become a hero in your own life. What to you is worth saving? And what will you do to save what you value?
